Is everything pre-determined, leaving nothing in our hands? Friends, you may have often observed that some people work incredibly hard yet achieve nothing significant in life, whereas others do very little but attain success quite quickly. You might be wondering, “I work hard day and night, so why am I not seeing results?”

But perhaps you do not realize that life often does not give us what we want! We are, in a sense, mere puppets in the hands of time. Whenever we grow weary of the daily grind and feel disheartened, we ask ourselves a question: Is everything preordained—is nothing truly in our hands?

Friends, today I will try to answer the question you often ask: that nothing is in our hands and everything is already predetermined. What is meant to happen, happens; we are merely instruments. Neither our birth nor our death is within our control—so what, then, can we actually control? The truth is, we cannot control anything at all.
We worry needlessly, thinking, “I will do this” or “I will do that”! In reality, we can do nothing unless Nature wills it. Nature has already determined everything for us before we were even born. We are merely changing dates on a calendar—a calendar that we did not create, but one created by Nature.

Let me explain this with an example. Suppose you wanted to become a doctor and worked incredibly hard for it, but when the exam came, you didn’t pass, and your dream of becoming a doctor was shattered. Does that mean your life is over? No, not at all! While it is true that you didn’t become a doctor, it turned out that you became a businessman and are earning a great deal of money.
So, will you spend your entire life weeping over the fact that you couldn’t become a doctor, or will you move forward with your life as a businessman? Do not blame your fate; you become exactly what nature intends for you to be. Nature’s decision is always right, and no one can alter it.

I have observed that no one is truly satisfied or happy with life! Some lack wealth, others do not have a beautiful wife, some lack a good job, and others suffer from poor health. If you look closely around you, you will find that everyone’s life has some shortcoming or another; no one is perfect. Only nature is complete—nothing else is. Driven by unbridled desires, human life today is wandering aimlessly and enduring immense suffering.
So, what is the real reason behind this sorrow? The true cause is the futile attempt to control life! If something is written in your destiny, you will work hard to achieve your goal and succeed; however, if nature has not ordained it for you, you will never attain it—no matter how much effort you put in. You can put this to the test if you wish; it is absolutely true!

You may have noticed that a handsome man often ends up with an unattractive wife, while an unattractive man finds a beautiful wife! What would you call this? It is all the work of nature! Who will enter your life and when—it is all preordained. You cannot change this even if you wish to; this alone is the unshakeable truth, and everything else is a lie. In reality, we are living in a false, imaginary world that has absolutely no connection to the truth.
That is precisely why we lose our way and carry life around like a burden. Ultimately, it is Nature that determines the state and direction of your life. For some, life is a beautiful journey, while for others, it is a tale of sorrow. Whether we acknowledge it or not, it is all the play of Nature.

So, the question arises: what should we do? Should we simply sit idly by and make no effort? In this human life, we must perform actions; there is no escaping them. However, if we wish to attain true happiness, we must act selflessly—without desiring any specific outcome—because the results are not in our hands.
We should perform every task with true dedication and sincerity. Success and failure are both integral parts of life, and they go hand in hand. Nature itself strikes a balance between the two and grants us what is right for us, rather than what we desire.

So, let us resolve from today to focus solely on our work and leave everything else to nature! I can assure you that whatever happens will always be for your own good. So, live life to the fullest and always stay cheerful! Perhaps today you have found the answer to the question: “Is everything pre-determined, and is nothing in our hands?”
Thank you very much!
